Grief Groups

Currently waiting for a Spouse Group to form. We can start in January.  It will meet on Mondays from 1:30-3:00. This group will meet for 7 weeks. A overview of grief, it’s symptoms, coping strategies, and the opportunity to process grief experiences with those who care and are also deeply affected by their loss. Cost per session is $20, payable monthly by cash, check, credit, or debit. Commitment to the group is expected, except in emergency situations.  It is most important to the group to become committed to one another, as not to abandon one another in the midst of seeking support.  The gift of the group is preferably that of support and understanding from one who has also been there, too.

Family Grief Support Groups starts in January and is offered on Thursday evenings at 6-7:30. This group includes loss of child of any age, traumatic deaths which are unforeseen, accidental, or intentional.  The starting time is negotiable, approved by the group on the 1st session.  If you are a parent, a sibling, a daughter or son with a recent loss, this group is for you. $20 per session, payable monthly by cash, check, debit or credit.

Grief Recovery Method Support Group begins in February for 8 weeks on Wednesdays @ 1-3pm. $30 per session payable by the month by cash, check, credit or debit.  Groups can help you begin the processing of deep feelings you have over a loss.  This method is also action oriented, with a variety of processes to help you sort out what is necessary to begin to heal from your loss.

To register for any group call or text 361-215-5322 or email  A free initial screening session is suggested to help you receive the support you need, determining the option for individual sessions.

I’m not certain the place you’re getting your information, but good topic. I needs to spend a while finding out much more or figuring out more. Thank you for excellent information I used to be searching for this information for my mission.

    • Is the mission a personal one, or are you speaking of a location? (as in a physical location). I am a grief recovery counselor and have many years of experience helping folks find their direction, or their purpose in life after a loss. If you are local, as in Corpus Christi we didn’t get anyone yet for the spouse group. Hope to get 4 people to start a group. The stories are my stories, a compilation of experiences from real life bereaved spouses, parents, and children. We are all on a journey. If you are local to Corpus Christi, and would like to join a group contact me through my website

I do trust all the concepts you’ve offered for your post. They are really convincing and will certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are too quick for starters. May just you please prolong them a little from subsequent time? Thank you for the post.

    • Yes, Olive, writing in January to start a group in January is not realistic, but it also may create urgency to reply or sign up. So let me gather some interest and names … Are you wanting online groups or face to face? I have to say I would be on a learning curve to do it online, but I could consider that through a facetime, or facebook group live, neither would be as appropriate as a face to face group. Thanks for your input. Charlotte

Useful information. Fortunate me I found your website unintentionally, and I’m stunned why this coincidence didn’t came about earlier! I bookmarked it.
